“The Kingdom of God will not come with careful observation, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the Kingdom of God is within you.” (Luke 17:20-21 [my translation])
Meaning: You won’t find the meaning of life, your purpose in life or the essence of life anywhere in the world of sensory perception because your senses can only report physical phenomena to your brain through electrical impulses, whereas the world of the Spirit is beyond the experience of your senses – it’s made up of the same stuff that is within you that we call the soul. Today, Jesus might refer to it as the Kingdom of the Soul. It is here, now. It is within you and every other life form on the planet.
This is why Jesus could say, “Do not fear those who can kill the body and nothing more.” Because man is not given power over life and death. That’s the Kingdom of Physical Forms, but we are much more than the atoms that made up our bodies.
